A note from the Pitmaster:
Mustard bbq sauces seem to fall into two categories. The first category is basically just plain mustard with some spices added. The second version of gold barbecue sauce is more or less a smoky version of honey mustard. Unfortunately, neither of these get to the heart of what a great mustard bbq sauce can be. When it’s done right, a mustard bbq sauce should be equally at home on a grilled hot dog as it on a pulled pork sandwich or a served drizzled over brisket. Gold n Bold is that sauce. It is tangy enough to cut through the fattiness of pork, but balanced enough to be able to perfectly complement wagyu beef.
